We take pride in being the 8th chapter chartered in the society and work to stay up-to-date with society happenings.     Susan P. Andrews, DNP, RN, CPN, CNE completed the STTI Virtual Mini Academy on Global Advocacy earning a global advocacy scholar badge. Earners of this badge complete a 6-week, virtual global advocacy experience designed for nurses. The learning offers the opportunity to refine advocacy efforts, learn more about Sigma's consultative status with the UN, and understand their role in furthering the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each participant will have interactive experiences that can be used for healthcare and policy advocacy application, locally and globally.

    Susan P. Andrews, VUSN Assistant Professor and Patti Runyan, Senior Director, Nursing Professional Practice at Monroe Carell Jr Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt presented “Increasing compliance with PIV securement: Applying the best evidence to improve patient outcomes​” at the STTI Biennial Convention in San Antonio, Texas November 11-15th, 2023.

    Assistant Professor Susan Andrews published "Creating an Innovative Global Health Clinical Experience during the COVID-19 Pandemic" in the April 5 issue of the Journal of Radiology Nursing.
